April is Earth Month, a time to celebrate our planet and take action to protect it. At SILVERWIND, we always pay attention to the changes on Earth. As inhabitants of this planet, we’re committed to expressing our love for the Earth and nature – we recycle plastic bottles and discarded fishing nets to create unique activewear and swimwear; we incorporate beautiful patterns inspired by nature into our pieces; and we contribute to the charity Ocean Conservancy with our sales to support ocean conservation.
But we realize these actions aren't enough. Therefore, as we celebrate Earth Month, we're launching a positive campaign with Pro Ocean, a remarkable charity dedicated to cleaning and protecting our oceans. We’d love you to join us in making a real difference for our planet!
Introducing Our Partner Charity: Pro Ocean
Pro Ocean is a charity based in Germany, dedicated to tackling one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time: ocean plastic pollution.
The oceans, which cover our almost 71% of the Earth, is the most valuable wealth and resource treasury given to us by nature. They provide us with oxygen, food, and climate regulation, but they are facing threats from plastic pollution, overfishing, and climate change.
Realizing this, Pro Ocean is engaged in ocean conservation operations in Germany and the Philippines. Their main work and projects include collecting and cleaning plastic waste on the beach; providing fair jobs for local people; launching educational projects for children to solve the plastic problem; saving the ocean animals from death by ocean plastic; and protecting mangrove forests and precious ecosystems.

According to their website, since launching in 2019, Pro Ocean has collected more than 98 tons of ocean plastic and saved more than 49 tons of CO2 through recycling!
We resonate with them on environmental protection and ocean conservation consciously. We’re pleased to partner with Pro Ocean in the Earth Month campaign, and hope to call on more people to rise up against ocean pollution to raise awareness about the conservation of oceans and the planet.
